Radar Love -- Should We Bet the House on Sportsradar?
Or bet the spouse? Now there's a business model!!
Hello Investing Friend!!
I hope you are well!!
If not, I have a special report for you today on a data play stock that has been a big winner for Investors Club members, Sportsradar (SRAD):
This company, you will recall, is the number one provider of sports data based on revenue. They have been big innovators in sports data, and sell their services to sports leagues, betting operators, and media companies.
Hugely importantly, the company has exclusive data and audiovisual rights deals with:
National Basketball Association
Major League Baseball
National Hockey League
Association of Tennis Professionals
South American Football Confederation
Union of European Football Associations
Asian Football Confederation
Deutsche Fußball Liga
Impressive and lucrative.
And, in part because of these deals, the company offers a range of services:
For Betting Operators: pre-match and live data and odds, sports audiovisual content, iGaming, and marketing and advertising
For Media Companies: data feeds interfaces, sports audiovisual content, broadcasting solutions, digital services, research and analytics, over-the-top streaming solutions, and programmatic advertising
For Sport Leagues: live data and analysis, fraud monitoring, and anti-doping
As we saw in the chart, Sportsradar has been growing strongly:
Its returns and margins leave something to be desired, but they are still a young company:
They issue shares like many of these companies do, but not egregiously so:
And:
So, it is quite a company.
But, we do have some concerns.
